WORLD-CLASS CORRESPONDENCE

To keep BNP Paribas Open top of mind far beyond the two weeks of the tournament, we reimagined the entire email ecosystem from the ground up, creating a year-round communication platform designed to inspire anticipation, simplify planning, and deepen the fan experience at every stage of the journey.

THE BIG OPPORTUNITY

The tournament experience extends far beyond the matches themselves. Fans travel from around the world for a multi-day destination event packed with tennis, entertainment, hospitality, food, shopping, and nightlife. The challenge was creating a flexible email framework that could support that complexity while still feeling premium, cohesive, and unmistakably BNP Paribas Open.

THE DESIGN SYSTEM

We designed an entirely new modular email system that balanced elevated brand storytelling with practical utility. Every communication was designed to feel visually dynamic while remaining highly functional, blending the energy of a world-class sporting event with the polish of a luxury destination brand. The new framework included:

  • Seasonal anticipation campaigns to maintain engagement throughout the year
  • Ticketing and hospitality launches designed to drive urgency and conversion
  • Entertainment and on-site experience spotlights
  • Content modals that showcased dining, shopping, and venue amenities
  • Arrival and navigation communications that simplified the guest experience
  • Responsive UX patterns optimized for mobile-first viewing

DEFYING ORDINARY

Built around the spirit of “Tennis Paradise,” the new system transformed email from a transactional touchpoint into an immersive extension of the event itself. From early ticketing and entertainment announcements to venue exploration, dining highlights, transportation guidance, and day-of logistics, every touchpoint was designed to move fans seamlessly from excitement to arrival.
